The Flights of Fantasy Parade at Hong Kong Disneyland is a daily parade (generally at 3PM). The parade features your Disney favourites and is great entertainment with dancers, characters, music, floats and plenty of Disney characters come to life.
This parade is a must see when visiting Disneyland but if you visit Hong Kong in the hotter months of the year the heat can be hard to handle for little Disney fans, we’ve put together a few tips to help you (and your little ones cope).
Firstly you do need to queue early to get a good spot to watch this parade which means you will be sitting in full sun for a prolonged period of time. If you have two adults one of you should save a space while the other and the kids hide in the shade/aircon somewhere.
This is obviously not an option for our solo parent travellers so I would recommend bringing your own shade. Grab an umbrella to shade from the hot hot sun.
Prepare yourself before you save a space; purchase enough cold drinks, ice creams etc to keep everyone happy and cool for the duration.
If it is really, really hot, try and get a space nearer the beginning of the parade so you get to see it sooner rather than later. The parade starts between Fantasy land and Tomorrow land. We viewed the parade at the roundabout at Sleeping Beauty Castle near the middle of the route and on an exceptionally hot day it felt like to took forever to reach us. The Wandering Child was complaining about the heat but the moment he saw Dumbo come around the corner all was forgotten and he LOVED the parade.
If you visit in the cooler months all you need to do is just pick a position and enjoy the show!!
