We have stayed in hundreds of hotels, some good, some strange, some terrible and some great. Sometimes a hotel stays with you a long time time after you have checked out.
The following list is our top 5 favourite hotels in Asia (so far). Each of these hotels made it on to our top 5 list for very different reasons but they all have a quality that makes them great and standouts in our minds.
We’ll be back to update this list when we find another amazing hotel that deserves to be on this list…..
In no particular order, 5 of the best hotels in Asia that we have experienced are;
Elephant Safari Park Hotel, Bali
The Elephant Safari Park in Bali is a special place, it really is. The Safari Park is home to rescued Sumatran elephants. Depending on your room choice you may even have an elephant come and collect you from your room for dinner. Rooms look out over the elephants grazing. Breakfast is a great spread. On check in you will be presented with your itinerary for your stay including Elephant bathing sessions and a jungle walk with an elephant. The whole experience is amazing.
Angsana Laguna, Phuket Thailand
There are so many things to love about the Angsana Laguna, watching the baby elephant swim on the beach, feeding him fruit, the exceptional kids club with a great line up of activities and great facilities, the play ground is fantastic, the pool is great, food is wonderful and the staff are gorgeously friendly. My son still talks about their turn down service which presented him with little locally made gifts each night. The Angsana is a definite winner for families visiting the Phuket area.
Sheraton Cotai Macau
The Sheraton Macau is a really well managed hotel, everything goes smoothly in this place. We were contacted in advance to ask about our preferences for our stay, we were given a kids suite which absolutely made our stay. The suite was themed with Dreamworks characters and everything for kids had been thought out: kids toiletries and robes were provided, there was entertainment in the rooms for them and when you ventured to the lobby, you could meet a plethora of Dreamworks characters from Hiccup and Toothless to Belt from the Croods. To top it all off, its the home of the Shrekfast themed breakfast. There is so much to love about the hotel and Macau!
Everything is awesome! Seriously! This hotel is a kids paradise. The lobby is a Lego building heaven with bricks galore, the elevators play disco music, meet Lego characters in the lobby, the restaurants are a kids dining paradise and the rooms; amazing themes and a special treasure chest puzzle for kids to solve to earn a Lego prize. Its not just the themeing that makes Legoland Hotel Malaysia amazing, the staff are great, the hotels systems are all well thought out and the big plus that its connected to the theme park.
Hard Rock Hotel, Kuta Bali
This hotel has the works! Playgrounds, water slides, pools galore (even a beach style one), swim up bars, recording studios, kids club and the list goes on and on. Located opposite Kuta beach and in the midst of all of Kuta’s action with markets and shopping with easy walking distance.
We were super impressed with the service and the family vibe of the resort plus huge points for in room rock guitars! If Bali is your destination and you want to be in the midst of it all with plenty to keep the kids happy then The Hard Rock Hotel is the one for you
